Native American: Alaska & Pacific Northwest
By Wendy Lanehart and Inez Ramsey

The Pacific Northwest between California and Alaska was the home of tribes who depended upon fishing for salmon. Among these tribes were the Inuit, Tlingit, Kwakiutl, the Klamath and the Yurok. Inland in Alaska the Eskimo hunted the caribou and the seal.
