Biography

Arthur Dorros was born in Washington, DC on May 19, 1950. As a kid, he always liked to draw but gave it up because he thought he wasn't very good! He rediscovered his love for drawing while he was in high school. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
Over the years, he tried many different jobs, including teaching. He loves traveling and has traveled around the world. As a result, he speaks excellent Spanish and writes some of his books in both English and Spanish. Another of his loves is nature. You can see that in the science books he has written. He not only writes and illustrates books for children but also is an excellent photographer. He presents workshops for teachers and students. His family lives in Seattle, Washington.
