1. Type a short (roughly 350-500 word) but thoughtful response to some of the arguments made in Chapter One of Turners The Literary Mind. Some possible issues to consider: What do Turner's mental patterns of parable account for and how well do they do that? What insights into literary works do Turner's ideas offer us? What limitations and/or problems, if any, are there with applying the ideas in this chapter?
