Musicians, luthiers, and art
lovers should explore these pages to view both unique instrument design
and construction. Meet Chuck DeHart, hobby luthier and experimenter in the
art of instrument construction.
Please take a minute or two to enjoy Chuck's work of the past twenty years. Starting with his dream guitar...the semi-hollow electric arch top:
The links within text bring you pictures. Most are between 15 and 35 kb. We'll let you know if its gonna be a really big one! |

I'm not in business, but love to play, show, and talk guitar. Get off the beaten path and bring your amp to the end of The Run. I'm most partial to Classic Rock and R&B. E-mail me to set up a visit. There's plenty of camping in the mountains out my back door. |
| If you would like to hear about or see my next
project, please send me an e-mail so I can get back to you at some point
in the future. I plan to enjoy playing guitar for a couple of years
before I start the next instrument. When I was single, I could
build an instrument in about five months of spare time. The arch top
took about 2.5 years. The next project will probably be a smaller
carved top with three single coil pick ups (Fender style) and whammy bar.
If you are curious about the shape, you will have to stop by and see my
sketches!
Regards and thanks for stopping by. Chuck DeHart |
